150 Years of Oxford University RFC
A limited-edition commemorative book
The first-ever Rugby World Cup winner David Kirk, Olympic silver medallist Tom Mitchell, famed South African rugby coach Nick Mallett, former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Baron Butler of Brockwell and Princess Alexandra Obolensky are among those to contribute their stories to this very limited-edition hardback coffee-table book celebrating 150 years of rugby at Oxford University.
Covering everything from Cuppers and Greyhounds to great tours, historic matches and, of course, The Varsity Match, the book focuses on the people that have made rugby at Oxford so special. The players, the coaches, the backroom staff all tell their tales from Iffley Road and beyond, including the likes of three-time Varsity-winning captain John Carter, the legendary Dugald MacDonald, England international Sue Day, and Heather Lawrence, the women’s rugby pioneer.
Uniquely, the book will also include a special section dedicated to photographs from the private collections of former Oxford University RFC players, coaches and administrators.
The book includes teams and results from the men’s and women’s Varsity Matches.
Strictly limited-edition with only 1,000 individually numbered copies printed.
